IMPORTANT- Update to October 30th Smart Alert: There is an important update to the Smart Alert titled COVID-19 Mitigation Supplies Available Again in FY24, sent on October 30th. Please note that the updated deadline to order FY24 supplies is Friday, June 7, 2024. This deadline is subject to change depending on the number of supplies available and participation. We are excited to share this opportunity with you and appreciate your efforts to maintain a COVID-safe environment as you provide services to Illinois residents.

CapMan Reporting: SUPR launched the new Capacity Management System (CapMan) in 2019. Since then, we have recognized that transitioning from the previous non-operational system to the current system continues to be challenging for many organizations. Therefore, we are releasing training and technical assistance opportunities in the coming weeks and months to ensure compliance with daily reporting requirements for Level of Care 3.5 and opioid treatment programs (OTPs). We urge you to review your organization’s CapMan policy and procedures to ensure compliance with CapMan reporting requirements. The CapMan system ensures that the State is responsive to the SUD treatment needs of Illinois residents and provides additional functionality for priority populations (e.g., pregnant women/people, women with dependent children) when there is a waiting list for services. We look forward to strengthening our partnership with our treatment organizations and improving compliance with CapMan.

Substance Use Prevention Program Expansions: SUPR recently approved new substance use prevention programs expansions, including 14 Youth Prevention Education expansions to 4th through 5th grade, 3 expansions for substance use prevention services for youth whose parents use substances, and 2 expansions for substance use prevention services for emerging adults (aged 18 to 25 years)!
