The National Council’s new national workforce survey, conducted by The Harris Poll, revealed the mental health and substance use care workforce is facing an exodus of workers and demanding immediate action from lawmakers. National Council for Mental  Wellbeing surveyed 750 behavioral health care workers and more than 2,000 U.S. adults to assess the state of the workforce – specifically, how workforce shortages have impacted the field. See National Council for Mental Wellbeing press release and use our toolkit to share the data on your platforms and contact your elected officials, urging them to support the behavioral health workforce.
