Guidehouse Rate Study Changes

  • $2.50/hour wage increase for Direct Support Professional (DSP) staff
  • 15% regionalization factor for day programming
    • Community Day Services (31C, 31U, 38U, 38C)
    • Supported Employment (33G, 36G, 36U)
    • Enhanced Residential (37U)
    • Additional Staff Supports (53D, 53S)

24-Hour Stabilization Services

  • Updates the service definition to broaden the service beyond Short-Term Stabilization to include Long-Term Stabilization services.

As a follow-up to that announcement, DDD has issued guidance on the implementation of the above waiver changes. That guidance can be found at either of the below links.

The guidance also includes information on the implementation of the wage increases for Intermediate Care Facilities (ICFs) and Medically Complex for the Developmentally Disabled (MC/DD) facilities. As a reminder, the State Plan Amendment for those wage increases has not yet been approved by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) so, at this time, those increases are still proposed.
