What is The Illinois Guardianship and Advocacy Commission’s Human Rights Authority

The Human Rights Authority is the investigative arm of the Illinois Guardianship and Advocacy Commission. The Authority investigates alleged violations of the rights of persons with disabilities by providers of services.  This presentation will discuss how the Human Rights Authority advocates to assure rights but describing the agency mission, details about the agency, examples of rights violations and the investigatory process.
