ACMHAI Webinar: Let’s Learn About Supported Decision-Making

Supported Decision-Making (SDM) is an alternative to guardianship for adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities who need help in making decisions. In February 2022, Illinois Governor Pritzker signed into law the Supported Decision- Making Act. This presentation will provide an overview of supported decision-making in Illinois, including key components of the recently enacted Supported Decision- Making Act as well examples of supported decision-making in practice.
